Balavihar Sevak Training program

Currently around 500 balavihar children are in our fold. These children are guided by a team of 22 volunteers who continuously strive to equip themselves with more knowledge about our culture & country. 
To strengthen the participation of the children and also to increase the number of classes per month for the children, Balavihar sevak training program was conducted at Chinmaya Mission Tiruvallur, Thamaraipakkam. 

32 volunteers attended the program. Smt Srividya ji & Smt Priya Amma were the facilitators. The participants were given lesson plans translated in Thamizh. By Gurudev's Grace all went well. We hope that, this program will strengthen our Balavihar activity and enable us to produce more responsible citizens with dynamic spiritualism.

Pujya Gurudev Swami Chinmayananda, the founder of Chinmaya Mission Worldwide (in 1951), consecrated Chinmaya Sarveshwara at Thamaraipakkam, Tiruvallur district in the year 1989. Since then, the center is serving the rural community through a charitable medical center and a free school named Harihara Vidyalaya. In 2005, with the blessings of Pujya Guruji Swami Tejomayananda and the guidance of CORD National team at Sidhbari, Shri P.N.Kannan started the rural development work in Tiruvallur district.  From 2013 December, CORD was further reaching out to more villages and empowerment programs, under the able leadership of Smt.Priya Arunachalam.
