17th Vilakku puja

Chinmaya Mission Thiruvallur facilitated Vilaku puja at Chinmaya Sarveshwara. Around 200 villagers participated in this samashti prarthanaa. Devotees were given spiritual food for thought and annadanam maha prasad. Chyks, Hhv teachers, students and parents volunteered for various seva like decorations, puja kit preparation, registrations, food packing, prasadam distribution etc. By Gurudev's grace all went well.

Pujya Gurudev Swami Chinmayananda, the founder of Chinmaya Mission Worldwide (in 1951), consecrated Chinmaya Sarveshwara at Thamaraipakkam, Tiruvallur district in the year 1989. Since then, the center is serving the rural community through a charitable medical center and a free school named Harihara Vidyalaya. In 2005, with the blessings of Pujya Guruji Swami Tejomayananda and the guidance of CORD National team at Sidhbari, Shri P.N.Kannan started the rural development work in Tiruvallur district.  From 2013 December, CORD was further reaching out to more villages and empowerment programs, under the able leadership of Smt.Priya Arunachalam.
