Welcome to Chinmaya Mission Thamaraipakkam






Chinmaya Mission Thamaraipakkam is a unit of Chinmaya Mission founded by Pujya Swami Chinmayananda in the year 1989. The Ashram is named Chinmaya Sarveshwara. 

The Ashram is serving the rural community through 
  1. charitable medical center
  2. A free school named Harihara Vidyalaya
  3. Rural development programs under the banner CORD (Chinmaya Organisation for Rural Development). 
  4. Within the Ashram premises is the Sarveshwara Dhyana Nilayam consecrated in the year 1989. 
  5. Also there is a Goshala which takes care of 7 to 10 cows
The Ashram has been the home for 2 Thamizh Vedanta courses conducted by Pujya Swami Shridharananda during the years 1992 to 1995 and 1996 to 1999. The Missionary workers who studied Vedanta in this premises include Swami Ramakrishnananda, Swami Anuttamananda, Swami Sureshananda, Swami Sakalananda, Swami Aksharananda.

The Ashram has also been home for 3 YEP courses (Youth Empowerment Program) conducted by Pujya Swami Mitrananda, the resident Acharya of Chinmaya Mission Chennai. The 2nd, 3rd and the 9th batch YEP courses were conducted in this premises. 

Meditation Center
The Sarveshwara Dhyana Nilayam was consecrated in the year 1989 by Pujya Guurdev Swami Chinmayananda ji. It is popularly known as lingam kovil in the locality. Harihara Vidyalaya
Understanding that good education forms the foundation block in the reconstruction of any community, Pujya Gurudev Swami Chinmayananda established a free Harihara Vidyalaya School in the year 1990 with a vision to cater free education to the underprivileged children of the villages.   3. Absolutely great work... Pujya Gurudev Swami Chinmayananda I am sure would be proud of where this center is going, if he was around... this is living the Pledge he left us with, in my opinion... love from NZ.. Hari Om...would love to help out too
